A little about me

Hi, I’m Njiiri — a systems designer in tech. My work is about designing how multiple parts of a complex system work in tandem. It involves dissecting a product/organisational problem into individual parts until it’s simple, then architecting a solution that puts the people using it at the center, without losing sight of what the business actually needs. I’ve been in leadership for a couple of years, meaning designing the solution comes with stewarding the team; so it’s been a delicate balance between steering and co-creating with a team of very talented folks.

Outside of that, you can always find me: doing yoga in the mornings, reading books on identity politics, walking as I talk to the trees, curating playlists or traveling somewhere.

I’m also queer and partnered — we have a very unbothered cat named Luna 🐈‍⬛. I talk to the moon & the water more often than I’d like to admit, and I’m working my way into growing an actual flower garden. Aaaaand I’m completely serious about cheesecake; I tinker with recipes often ✨
