Currently, I'm co-leading a team designing Copilot agents and other B2B AI tools that make the workforce more productive. My core responsibilities and impact this far revolve around systems design that optimize product design, people resourcing, process & OPs standardization, culture design and ultimately, all these feed into business design. Making the 'right thing' and then making the 'thing right' is my forte. My main tools of trade are: Design thinking, coding agents & AI workflows.

Alongside corporate pursuits, I tinker with this question: How can AI/tech be used for socio-economic good? How can we empower communities to be more self-sufficient?

Product Design

Where it finally clicked

After a few years in between software development & product management, product design is where I found my joy. Dissect the problem, architect the solution, keep the user at the centre and the business goals in view. I've worked in multiple industries in the startup ecosystem in Africa: FMCG, Fintech, Mobility, Communication & Education. I then moved to 'big tech' and have been at Microsoft for 5 years, working on M365 Products & now Copilot.

I've run Nairobi's largest UX community for the last 5 years — talks, workshops, and a growing library of product design education. The goal here has always been to democratize design education in the continent and have a space where we can celebrate 'making'. I still contribute to design communities back home in Kenya when time allows.
